A huge part of our lives is spent on our phones. There’s little we can’t do with them, so why not take advantage of them to keep track of our New Year’s resolutions with a few free Android Apps?
Out with the old and in with the new! A new year has begun and with it comes loads of New Year’s resolutions. If you’re anything like me, by late February you don’t even remember what you decided you were going to do for the year and all of your initial plans (I still haven’t managed to get my hot summer bod) just go out the window.
Maybe all we need is a little help, or a little push in the right direction. Whether you’re looking to get fit, manage your finances, or be more productive in 2022 these free Android Apps have got you covered.
Improve Your Habits
Building good habits can be tough, and kicking the bad ones even tougher, but if you’re on a mission to change your habits in 2022, then a good habit tracking App might help you stick to the plan.
Using a simple user interface and a minimalistic approach, the Grow Habit Tracker allows you to enter whatever habits you want to track and sends you daily notifications so that you can stay on top of them.
The free Android app gives you an illustration of a growing tree that represents your personal evolution through each new habit. It’s simple, cute, and it’s free!

Manage Your Personal Finances
Keeping track of your income and expenses can be tricky, especially if you have multiple sources of income (I see you fellow freelancers) or enjoy going on online shopping sprees. With Monefy you can control personal accounts, income, expenses, debt, and savings, all in one place.
This easy-to-use app allows you to separate all of your expenses into different illustrated categories and then presents you informative charts that’ll pinpoint what exactly is draining your bank account. I personally have an “issue” with online courses, I can never get enough!
You can save and export your data into CVS files or synchronize them with your Dropbox account, this way you’ll be able to control and analyze the evolution of your finances over time.

Focus on Your Health and Fitness
It’s a well-known fact that the most common New Year resolution is to become healthier and fit by exercising more. This is also possibly the hardest resolution to commit to, but with the right free Android App by your side, you might just be able to pull through.
Previously known as Runtastic, the Adidas Running App is your biggest ally when it comes to keeping track of your fitness ventures. From running to cycling to yoga, this app allows you to keep track of your miles, minutes, calories burned and many more statistics to help you improve and keep you focused on your goals.
Working out is easier when you’re not alone, right? This App lets you connect with your friends and even partake in some friendly and motivating competitions.
Anything that can help me keep on track of my workouts is very welcome. Most of the time I lack the motivation to get up and do what I have to do, but having an App that keeps track of my evolution is a great incentive to keep going!

Boost Your Productivity
If your life involves managing different projects, hobbies, interests, or even if you’re just looking to be a bit more organized then you’ll definitely benefit from a task management App.
Todoist helps you separate, organize and prioritize different tasks so that you can keep track of what you need to do and when you need to do it. This App lets you log recurring tasks, collaborate and delegate assignments, and even integrates with other important tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Amazon Alexa, and more.
I’m an organization freak, I was even considering getting different planners for different things until I discovered this App. There I can color-coordinate everything, separate my freelance work tasks from my Ph.D. tasks, and even include all of my hobbies or simple reminders for each day.
